You come learn French with us!

These courses are designed for beginners who have never learned French or have mastered the basics. If you are not sure of your level, please contact the course coordinator before enrolling: cursus.utrecht@afpb.nl

When you receive the email confirming the opening of your course, you can order your books from our partner: Boekhandel Bijleveld.

Books can be picked up and ordered from today at Boekhandel Bijleveld, located near the Dom (Janskerkhof 7).

About the bookstore
Boekhandel Bijleveld is an independent bookstore since 1865 located at Janskerkhof 7, in the heart of the historic center of Utrecht. The bookstore carries an extensive selection of Dutch and English-language fiction and has a compact section of French and German literature. The bookstore also pays much attention to history, philosophy, current affairs, nature and science, art, literature about literature, poetry and the better children’s books.

For an optimal learning experience, our courses are taught entirely in French.

Our teachers are native French speakers. Please note that not all of our teachers speak Dutch (but all do speak English).

Two sessions per year.

Our courses take place at Pieterskerkhof 5, Utrecht.

Please note that there are stairs to get to the halls.

If the number of students is too large, the courses can be held at the Stedelijk Gymnasium.

We have adjusted the price of our courses to better reward our teachers and take inflation into account.

Required material

All our standard courses require you to purchase a textbook and accompanying exercise books. The same books cover an entire level (A1, A2). The cost of books is not included in the course fee.
