We offer a free placement test consisting of two parts:

The first part is a written test.

There are 4 levels available: A1 (absolute beginner), A2 (beginner), B1 (intermediate level), B2 (advanced). Choose the test that you think corresponds to your level. If in doubt, you can choose the lower or higher test depending on how you feel. Write down your score (out of 15) for each level.

Next, you can take a free telephone speaking test with Charlotte Roger, the course coordinator. This is recommended for levels A1 and A2.

To do this, you can send her an e-mail cursus.utrecht@afpb.nl with your name, first name, your results (number of points) and phone number and the following questions.

• 1. Why are you learning French (Work? Exam? Other?)?
• 2. What experience do you have with French?
• – Have you ever taken a course? When and at what level?
• – Do you often travel to a French-speaking country?
