Our library was created thanks to Gabrielle. She is a professor at AFU and has inventoried and classified the books. You’ll find her recommendations below.
AFUL’s favoritesTeacher Maryse’s favorite book:
“La plus secrète mémoire des hommes” by Mohamed Mbougar Sarr, winner of the 2021 Prix Goncourt.
A memorable book for Mostafa, teacher:
“Regardez nous danser” by Leïla Slimani. This is part 2 of a trilogy. We also have part 1.
“Passion simple” by Annie Ernaux, a safe choice for teacher Adrien.
For a start in literature, “La double vie d’Arsène Lupin” by Maurice Leblanc, recommended by Lionne, a student and member of the cultural committee.
A library is a place to share. Share your favorites with us by sending them to direction.utrecht@afpb.nl
