Naast haar artikelen voor de krant (onlangs nog over de invloed van Frankrijk op Maastricht in het kader van de TEFAF) schrijft ze boeken over Parijs.<br \/>\nIn het verleden schreef ze als Midden-Oostencorrespondent over Iran en over de Golfcrisis en ze was de eerste Amerikaanse \u00e9n vrouwelijke journalist die de net gekozen Iraanse president Ali Khamenei (nog v\u00f3\u00f3r hij ayatollah werd) mocht interviewen.<br \/>\nHaar meest recente boek &#8216;Adventures in the Louvre: <em>How to Fall in Love With the World&#8217;s Greatest Museum<\/em>\u00a0is onlangs in paperbackversie uitgekomen en is vanavond onderwerp van de lezing. Elaine neemt ons in de kunst, de rijke geschiedenis en de fascinerende verhalen van het Louvre. Apart from writing articles for the newspaper (most recently on France\u2019s influence on Maastricht in the context of TEFAF), she writes books about Paris. In the past,\u00a0she wrote about Iran and the Gulf Crisis as a Middle East correspondent and she was the first American and female journalist to be granted an interview with the newly elected Iranian president Ali Khamenei (before he became an ayatollah).<\/p>\n<p>Her most recent book, \u2018Adventures in the Louvre: How to Fall in Love With the World\u2019s Greatest Museum\u2019, has recently been published in paperback and is the subject of tonight\u2019s talk. Elaine will take us on a journey through the art, rich history and fascinating stories of the Louvre.
